Information Technology

The Department of IT commenced in 1999 with an intake of 60. The department presently has an intake of 120 for B.Tech course. The department offers M.Tech course in Web Technologies with an intake of 18. The department has well qualified faculty with experienced Professors, Associate Professors and Assistant Professors.

The department consists of CP lab, DBMS Lab, Unix Programming lab, Web Technologies lab, UML Lab and exclusive labs for PG students. The various licensed software are Oracle10g, Rational Rose, Turbo C++ Editor, Microsoft Windows Campus Drive and Semantic Antivirus.

The department regularly organizes seminars and workshops. Faculty members participate in various workshops, seminars and conferences in-house and elsewhere. The students of this department actively participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Many of the alumni are placed in premier companies in India and abroad. The department initiates activities in IEEE-Computer Society and CSI chapters through which regular seminars and workshops are organized by the students.

Vision

The Department of Information Technology at ATRI has always been successful in realizing its vision of producing the best technocrats by providing them a balance of theoretical and “hands-on” learning. This academic preparation, combined with many extracurricular opportunities, offers students the knowledge and experience that gives them a strong general foundation in computing and information systems. Students are prepared not only for entry-level position in their field, but also for progress beyond entry-level in their chosen career path.
