Snathaka - 2018

AKSHAJA, Traditional day

Cultural Day/Ethnic Day in Aurora is usually celebrated in the month of January, and to be more specific during Sankranthi time. India is known for its cultural diversity and solidarity. On this day, Aurora celebrates the magnificent display of colours and plethora of cultural events under one umbrella. Students and faculty dress up in their respective traditional attire and display the importance of the traditions and culture related to festivals, cuisine, language and literature. All students and faculty assemble at a place to witness various cultural programmes related to this day.

The college wears a festive look with buntings, flowers ,rangoli and various stalls put up to share the traditions and culture of various committees. It is an occasion to recall and revive the ancient, rich heritage and culture that India enjoys for centuries. It is also to uphold the values of the communities and share the same with the others especially in the present day with deteriorating values. Various activities such as JAM, Elocution, Role-play, singing and dance competitions are held under the guidance of faculty with the help of student volunteers.

AVYAYA, Annual day

Annual Day is the combination of all events and competitions held during the academic year. Annual Day is usually celebrated with lots of pomp and fervor .Both Teachers and students look forward to celebrate the Annual Day with great enthusiasm. Eminent personalities from different fields are invited to grace the occasion and make it a grand success. Prizes and Trophies are are given away in various fields such as Academics, sports and Literary and cultural competitions. This is the day when “Aurorian” of the year is announced. After the completion of formal programme and prize distribution, the much awaited cultural program commences. It goes without saying that students’ contribution as volunteers and organizers is commendable. Student volunteers take a great interest to show their talents in various fields. It is an opportunity for students to experience by participating in such an event. The college Director prepares the Annual report consisting of its achievements record of events and presents it to the audience.

SNATAKA, Convocation day

Aurora strives to impart education along with moral values and ethics thus carving students into a graduate. Snataka is a tradition of Aurora to applaud the student academic excellence and honor with degrees of engineering graduation.

Graduation is not the end of career, but a beginning. It is a proud moment in student’s life of past rich experience to welcome the awaiting future of unveiled treasures of life. Convocation/Graduation Day is an extremely important day in the life of a student especially while pursuing higher education.

On the Convocation Day, the University confers the degree and felicitates the graduating students. Convocation process is a somber programme unlike the induction or the Annual Day. There is usually a dress code followed by the students, Teachers and dignitaries

ABHIGNA, Induction day

Every year the college warmly welcomes the new batch of students. While the induction is meant to make students feel at ease in their new environs, it has a serious purpose behind it. It is an initiation into the culture and traditions upheld by the college. Students are apprised of the rules and norms of the college, and the challenges that they will surely face over four years of demanding course. A three-day programme consisting of lectures by distinguished personalities, cultural events, and a formal get-together mark the induction process every year, which is held in the month of September / October.

Ahlada, Fresher’s Day

Senior students organize Freshers’day within the stipulated time in consultation with their respective heads of the departments. It is necessary that the Fresher’s Day be held within four weeks from the commencement of the academic year for the first year students. Senior students should form a committee and work under the supervision of their Head of the Department.

Abhiyaan- Farewell day

Farewell is an occasion to bid adieu to the graduating students recalling their contributions to the college as they embark on their expedition to explore opportunities and aspirations about their future and the next phase of their life. It is the most memorable day in a student’s life. Seniors and Juniors share their experiences and memories along with their teachers. It is an emotionally charged situation where students become nostalgic. Speeches , culturals and celebrations mark the event.

Placement day, Abhidheya

This is the day the students eagerly wait for with many hopes and aspirations. The Training and Placement Cell of ATRI organizes placement day for the students to get placed in the best of the companies and jumpstart their career. Many esteemed companies visit the AEC and its sister-concerned colleges for the recruitment of students. This is highly rewarding as the students can get placed at the comfort of their college atmosphere without going to different places which is time consuming. Our students have been handed over their appointment letters from the recruiters on this day and got them placed in many reputed companies all these years.

Alumni Day

The strength of Alumni proves the strength of the Institution. Alumni Day is generally celebrated during the month of July/August every year. It is an opportunity for the former students of the Institution to meet and revive their memories. The Institution maintains a record of all the details contact number, email Id , current place of working, etc. of alumni in order to contact them. The organizing committee with the concerned co-coordinators goes ahead with the proceedings. Alumni Day fosters strength and bonding with the Institution
