PROGRAMMEEDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs)

The PEOs for the department are defined by considering the industry requirements, parents & students expectations and to motivate students towards research. The PEOs are defined for the programme for the attainment of Mission of the department. The following table lists the Programme Educational Objectives of the department.

PEO1 - Professionalism

To inculcate strong professional and ethical attitude enriched with good communication skills and leadership qualities that enable to take up top position in the global market.

PEO2 - Technical Accomplishments

To provide knowledge based services to satisfy the needs of society and the industry by providing hands on experience in various technologies in core field.

PEO 3: Invention, Innovation, and Creativity

To design, experiment, analyze, interpret in the core field with the help of other multi-disciplinary concepts wherever applicable.

PEO 4: Research And Development

To motivate for creative work undertaken on a systematic basis in order to increase the knowledge and the use of knowledge to devise new applications.

PEO 5: Communication And Teamwork

To instill strong communication skills which help to work under and as a team globally.


PROGRAMME OUTCOMES (Pos)

Program is a cohesive arrangement of courses, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities to accomplish predetermined objectives leading to the award of degree.

The Program outcomes (POs) are specific statements that describe the required learning achievement that must be met on the way of attaining the graduate attributes and meeting the goals of the program. Students in Information Technology programme should achieve the following POs by the time of completion of graduation:

  • An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering.
  • An ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data.
  • An ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs.
  • An ability to function on multi-disciplinary teams.
  • An ability to identify, formulate, & solve engineering problems.
  • An understanding of Professional, ethical responsibility.
  • An ability to Communicate effectively. Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms. And they need to be able to communicate effectively with global audience.
  • The broad education necessary to understand the impact of engineering solutions in global and societal context.
  • A recognition of need for and an ability to engage in, life-long learning.
  • Knowledge of Contemporary issues.
  • An ability to use the techniques, skills, modern engineering tools for engineering practice. Ability to use various tools to solve engineering problems and to provide effective solutions.
  • An ability to apply design and development principles in the construction of Information systems of varying complexity.
  • An ability to apply mathematical foundations, algorithmic principles, computer science theory in the modeling design of computer based systems.
